ghoulmouse: ([Saya no Uta] Blooming)
I was going to do this "most hits, most bookmarks, most kudos" AO3 meme going around but I realized uhhh...they are all the same story? Iron Maiden, my entry in the very first Nonconathon all the way back in 2017 -- an Eowyn/Witch King fic.

284 kudos, 33 visible bookmarks but 69 bookmarks listed on my stats page. I guess the content explains the huge amount of private bookmarks, lol.

I'm actually pretty surprised by this, because I thought it was overall kind of an offputting story. Not sure if I vastly underestimated how much people like gross stuff, or if it's just that it's kinky het fic in a huge fandom, or what. I don't dislike the story by any means but I wouldn't put it in my top 3 best or whatever, I feel like I pretty clearly struggled with the style and it really could stand to be longer. I track stats sort of compulsively for fics I'm super invested in (every single kudos on that 10k Emmanellain/Honoroit D/s fic, I know you by name and I consider you comrades and brothers), but I just sorta forgot about this one so it blindsided me.

Despite being a lifelong fan of Tolkien this is the only LotR fic I've ever written and it's about infectious ghost cum. Sorry, Professor.

Another thing I've noticed is that all my f/f noncon has a really abysmal hits-to-kudos ratio compared to...everything else. Literally everything else, from fluff to super dark or weird stuff that ISN'T f/f. It's been bothering me for a while and I really do not know what to make of it.

For the record, the weirdest comment I have ever gotten was also on that LotR story. I dunno man.
